My recommendation is to leave it as it is, just change the language, turn off the LEDs to save more battery, and also set the aspect ratio to the default setting. Then just load the games you want to play and enjoy; it works very well and doesn't crash unless you touch it. It's not suitable for messing around with; if you want that, go straight for the R36s.

Really cool gadget. I was just playing pokemon and my d-pad kept getting sticky in all directions. Battery life seems to be about 3 hours or less until i need to recharge with lights turned off and screen brightness lowered. Still a good bang for your buck.

The package arrived even earlier than specified on the website. Console, USB cable, manual, and glass screen protector included in the box. I turned it on, tested some emulators, and they worked well. I'm just going to replace the micro SD card as a precaution.
